We demonstrate an approach to quantitatively measure the ultrafast magnetization dynamics in laser- or THz-excited samples via THz emission spectroscopy, in a fully calibrated manner. Our approach is based on the fundamental principles of electrodynamics, where the time-dependent magnetization in a medium leads to the emission of electromagnetic radiation. As an example, a reconstruction of a complex transient demagnetization process in the laser-pumped iron nanofilm will be presented.
