SPICE Workshop on Ferrons and Magnons: friends or foes? July 7th - 9th, 2026
Hiroto Adachi
After the seminal proposal by Bauer et al. [1], drawing parallel between magnon transport and ferron transport as well as clarifying their crucial difference has become an important issue in condensed matter physics. Although how to describe magnon transport is well established [2], little is known about how to describe ferron transport as there is no well-established microscopic model for ferrons. Here, we use excitonic insulator model of electronic ferroelectricity and discuss the ferron transport [3].
