Optical Vortex Dichroism in Chiral Plasmonic Nanostructures: Contributions of Optical Spin and Orbital Angular Momentum

I will present novel insights into the chiroptical response of chiral plasmonic nanostructures interacting with optical vortex beams. First, I will talk about the giant optical circular dichroism (CD) of twisted metal nanorods due to strong plasmon coupling. Second, I will describe the optical vortex dichroism (VD) for the twisted nanorods in the first topic and discuss the relationship between VD and excited plasmonic modes, as well as the contribution of optical spin and orbital angular momentum.
