Some recent progress on topological magnons

Paul McCLARTY

In this presentation, I describe some recent theoretical and experimental work on the band topology of magnetic excitations concentrating on (i) the role of symmetries in generating a variety of topological magnon band structures (ii) the role of nonHermitian topology in spontaneous magnon decay and (iii) neutron scattering signatures of topological magnon bands in both intensity and linewidth.
